The New Braunfels Herald-Zeitung reports the victim's mother, Kim Davidson, told the defendant he got "a slap on the wrist compared to the death sentence you gave my son."

Sounds like you raised a little a-hole.

That's definitely a more effective way to end bullying than putting up stupid signs and billboards.

The trial surrounded the events of Nov. 11 and 12, 2013. Testimony showed that Nov. 11, 2013, the boys at the center of the case apparently participated with classmates in throwing things around their first-period chemistry class.
Witnesses said an incident followed where Logan struck the respondent in the groin area and the boy pushed Logan in response.
The next day, Logan and other boys threw things around class again, repeatedly striking the respondent, who reportedly asked several times for them to stop. Some of the boys stopped, but Logan continued nearly until the end of class.
Before class ended, witnesses said, the accused warned Logan to stop and said he would retaliate if Logan continued. That didn’t stop Logan so the boy told him he would get him after class.
The respondent waited outside the class and caught Logan with two punches to the face as Logan exited. The second punch sent Logan’s head smashing into the wall and his body to the floor

Sounds like the bully got what was coming and it was a freak accident that he died. Damn shame.

Medical personnel arrived and flew the unconscious and unresponsive teen to University Hospital in San Antonio. The next day a doctor declared him brain dead

That kid must have a mean right hook.

I think the punishment fits. Kid that died was a bullying a-hole.

I mean, they were both kids and it was a freak accident. The retaliation didn't seem out of line? What 16 year old thinks that he'll kill someone with 2 punches to the head?

The only issue I see here is the probation/restitution/etc. The deceased was a punk and got what he deserved.

Zero fricks given by me.
