I will be honest, I don't like Nike. For one, I always liked to go with the "not as popular" brands just because I don't like having on what everyone else has, but it seems like every pair of Nike I had felt like it wasn't made with the quality of other brands I have worn (Adidas, puma).

New Balance is a good brand, but for some reason I just don't like the N logo on the shoe.

Also, while I have never owned a pair, I have been told by several people that Under Armor doesn't make that great of a shoe either.

Worked at a shoe store years ago while in college. Had to learn more about shoes than anyone should have to hold in their brain. The last shoe I'd buy is Nike.

NB are good. Asics and Adidas are too. The more expensive brands like Saucony and Brooks are also great.

As a brand overalI agree NB > Nike for comfort.

From my personal experience, however, my Air Max 90 Ultra 2.0 Flyknits beat my New Balance 574 Sports by a slim margin.

For a long time my preference has been:

Brooks
Asics close behind

Never have tried New Balance, just too ugly but supposed to be good shoes.

Nike puts all their money into the advertising, not the shoe.

Sound like you guys are either buying the wrong type of Nike shoe or just wearing Nike non running shoes and trying to use them as running shoes
