Never Realized Punta Cana was a Real Place

With all the talk of cancelled trips during Hurricane Season, some one would always mention would a storm cancel their trip to Punta Cana. I always thought it was a fake place or funny way to say a woman’s private parts.
Well today, this ad popped up about the Punta Cana resort with a Cyber Monday sale.
Color me shocked.

We had a President Club trip there one year. Resort was absolutely awesome. Played golf at another resort one day. Between the trip to/from airport and that golf course, it was absolutely sad to see the poverty there. Saw a flatbed truck with some wood rails built up and there had to have been 60 dudes on the back

Punta Cana was so-so back before American tourists started getting raped and turning up dead.

Decent? Orange Beach is decent. Galveston is decent. Punta Cana, and the Caribbean in general, is great.

If you pick the right resort it's great.
It has some mediocre resorts and that sucks because you're mostly stuck where you're staying. Got to look at the food reviews.

I went last winter, It was ok. Plenty of smoke available, if you're into that sort of thing.
