My point was smoking is such a known danger that no one is trying to argue otherwise. Short of outright banning it, I don’t see how you get the smoking rates any lower.
ok

Obesity is everywhere and getting worse and the Internet leftists are calling it brave/quit fat shaming, etc. priorities are bizarre.
I agree.
My only contention was your "overall society" shift or whatever.
the "obesity=brave" shite is limited to fat progressives, which is hardly society as a whole

They control a lot of the culture we consume.

Eh. I don't know about that. Higher income liberals (anyone really) tend to be pretty health conscience.

What about destructive behaviors - like having premarital sex and alcohol abuse?

You would rather the government step in and tell netflix how to run their business?
No, I’d rather the company itself stop being such mewling pussies.

But teen suicide is still cool/ok to be shown?

It's not a new thing in media. Joe Quesada tried to mandate no smoking in Marvel. So wolverine dropped his cigars for awhile.

I don't.

You slinging around the word retard is pretty offensive, no different that than saying the dreaded “N” word that most likely causes you to weep after hearing it.

Look at the content they produce. I don’t think we’re their target demographic.

Pot > cigarettes in every way and every day.
Being a lazy frick is not good. But that and weed do not necessarily come together, unlike meth and your teeth rotting out, skin bumps, losing your job, losing your spouse, etc.

They are wondering why all shows are going to ban depicting smoking when it says it’s only for any new shows and movies geared towards kids 15 and younger.
Yea I knew what you meant
Just wanted you spell it out

According to media reports, the decision stems from pressure from a Washington D.C. group called Truth Initiative, a large non-profit dedicated to eradicating tobacco and making its use “a thing of the past.”
Sounds like this was brought about by a group that's about the equivalent of MADD without any strong political ties to either party.
But by all means, please bring a little political sensationalism into this and tap into that victim mentality.
