Netflix bans smoking -- But what about other vices?

Americans are going to end up finally banning themselves into complete Orwellian subservience before long.
All it will take is for the wind to change direction, and all vices will be demonized, except for spending money. That will never be demonized.

This is just banning use of tobacco for content that targets younger audience esp. under 15?
I'm really anti-censorship but I'm fine with that, if it's for youth content...

When I was a kid they had cop shows showing people strung out on heroin. I didn’t start using heroin as a result. Have we become that soft headed? Is it really as bad as all that?

The first Resident Evil game had an intro with one of the main characters smoking a cigarette. They censored that when it came out here but left in the part where a dude gets eaten alive by dogs.

It's not about the vice but the offensive history.
