Purchased 2 1-acre lots for future build. Out in the woods in and emerging development. The current elderly couple who have already built are wonderful and they were a big reason why we purchased. The lot next to our 2 was purchased shortly after us by a bail bondsman lady who wanted to get out of the hood. We were less than thrilled but I maintained my optimism.

Our neighbor calls us and states she mistakingly had our one of our lots mowed thinking it was hers. She was a little adamant with him but he tried to remain optimistic as well. No biggie. Call the realtor. Done deal? Happens a second time. Call again. This time the developer comes out and puts an identifier on her lot so she knows. Moving on.

Get a call yesterday that she’s has had our lot mowed and the pines trees removed on our east lot. Still has yet to touch her actual lot. So I head there in a somewhat rageful state demanding her or her realtors number. I’m not mad about pine trees, but this is just dumb at this point.

She eventually comes out there and I proceed to offer help and explain the situation. She’s drunk and about as ghetto as one could possibly be. When I introduced myself, she said “who dey?” I knew we off to a bad start. She Claims that I and the elderly couple who tried to help are falsifying tax assessors documents. After 20 minutes of trying to reason with her as she will eventually be our neighbor she’s telling us to get off her property. I told her that if I were to call the police they would arrest her not me. Regretfully, I didn’t as she would have lost her bail license for being under the influence and she would’ve have had to have sold. I was trying to keep my shite together.

We are hoping she sells if anyone drills it through her head that she bought the wrong kit. I should’ve bought the 3rd acre. That’s on me. If she sells it I’m buying it. But I’m not living next to that. Good lord.

Anyway, I have 2 acres for sale lol.

You have no one to blame but yourself from here on out.

Get a lawyer involved, maybe she will sell to you for cheap rather than have to pay for the damages she did to your property (you were deeply attached to the trees, after all) and/or losing her license etc.

I've been told on here, bad neighbors are only an issue at apartments.

Good luck sir. This is gonna cost you.

Should go to a community with an HOA.

Some lady is destroying your property and you’re NOT calling the cops? Not sure what to tell you from here baw except she may be moving into your house soon at this rate.

USAF Colonel owned the house next to me. He got transferred and started leasing his house to other USAF officers. No big deal. Then he rented to a single mother who came into some money (her incredibly cute toddler got a part in a Samuel L Jackson movie) and suddenly we had the police in our neighborhood four times over six months. Domestic situations and other stuff. I tried to be nice but finally located the Colonel through the USAF and let him know what was going on. To his credit, he was there a week later and got her out a couple of weeks after that.

Just glad she was renting and didn't own. Ghetto neighbors are the ne thing you just can't have. This is why Obamas whole Mixed Income housing mandate was such a bad idea. They don't rise to the level of the community, they try to drag the community down to their level.

And I am talking about economic level here before someone implies "they" is a racial connotation. Because a bunch of LP white trash trailer meth heads would be just as bad if not worse.

I appreciate you taking the high road, but the lady taking down trees on my property would have sent me over the edge.

I’d get a lawyer involved ASAP or this is only getting worse for you unfortunately.

Ask her if she wants to sell her acre? Or I’d sell mine.

If not, imagine the fun parties she’ll be having!

Call the police next time she’s drunk. I’d also go after her for damages to my property. Get rid of her now. My daughter and her husband have a sh*t neighbor next door. Literally from hell. I won’t go into a long sorry, but after a few years, he was finally hauled away on a coroner stretcher and the neighbors celebrated. Druggie, the cops knew him well. The wife is dull there with their young child (she’s not a druggie, but she’s crazy). Nice neighborhood other than her. Sell your land and move or make it so she wants to move.
