Totally believe it! I won’t tell my kids who I voted for because I don’t want them graded/treated unfairly at their liberal school. 7 yr old says she and her girlfriends want Kamala bc “she’s a girl.”

He is hilarious!
Agreed. She also really seems to just lack confidence. The way she loses track of what she’s saying and garbles responses. Seems to have anxiety and does not seem confident as a leader. All that goofy giggling…

They should not be allowed to go and do that to be honest, its rude. Let the women vote how they wish.

I agree. Some people might find that intimidating. He was a bit pushy.
I know. I’m sorry to rain on the parade. I wish I could be more hopeful! I’ll be ecstatic to be wrong, believe me. Without cheating, I’m sure he will win.
Did early voting in Lakeview in New Orleans. In and out in less than 5 minutes, very pleasant poll workers. Happy to have avoided the cranky old bitches that work at McMain where I normally have to vote.

Hopefully I’m just pessimistic

I can’t imagine he will be *allowed to win. “They” control the media. Suppose some votes need to be counted overnight, etc. A little cheating goes on, a Kamala win gets declared…who would do anything? They would call him a narcissist on their channels again, for even suggesting cheating. Any protests would be made to look like the January 6th thing.

I just started using X regularly and the content there makes it extremely obvious how much bias and censorship there is absolutely everywhere else. Liberals live in an echo chamber. Most have no clue that some of the biggest Democrats’ friends are pedos, rapists, etc. They’d never consider their side cheated, and if so they’d be glad.
That sounds awful. Being dismissed by doctors is the worst, especially when the side effects you noticed were listed. A decent person would have checked the side effects if they weren’t sharp enough to have them memorized, and at least agreed it was a small possibility the medicine caused the behavior.

I’ve read meditation changes gray matter, and it looks like white matter can possibly come back with exercise and eating certain fats.

Idk if you’ve ever heard of PANDAS, but it sounds similar bc it followed a respiratory infection.

I hope you get your child back.
The comments on that Instagram page say that before they were edited by her family, the victim’s IG page and stories were full of guns and talk about killing people, so I’m guessing she had a few enemies and she was the target. Lots of her family/friends defending her. Lol at the comments saying they better not ask for Gofundme Donations, or for ppl to buy soggy dinner plates.
3:47 pm yesterday at a busy intersection. Amazing they already arrested suspects.

Tip fatigue is real. Imagine going for frozen yogurt. Your kid fills up a cup with toppings, puts it on the scale…$13! And then a tip option shows up on the screen. Your kid grabbed the bowl, filled it up, walked it over to the register.. why tip for that overpriced nonsense?

Or Walmart plus. WTH is up with that? The things they used to ship are now delivered instead, by a rando who you don’t want on your porch, expecting a tip?

You are so interesting, TulaneLSU.

I like this site. There isn’t anything like it. It’s like a general store. Sometimes I like the mean/funny posts. Other times I think “what a-holes”. Either way, it’s way better than my second best (NO Reddit) where there’s a general feeling of whiny victim. There’s a little more balance here between the wise, grumpy oldies and whatever else. And there’s a lot of linking instead of sharing daydreams. I’ve seen some great graphs.

No offense taken! There are definitely the friends who roll their eyes when you make extreme changes and the ones who cheer you on. I’ve always liked seeing people making good changes bc it’s inspiring, but some get annoyed for whatever reason.

The government is basically begging small business to close shop. That was the entire purpose of the Covid shutdowns.

That was what made the whole thing so bizarro world. Liberal types who prided themselves on not supporting big chains, wanted stores closed, and their favorite little chains were of course the hardest hit.
So many different ways. Some get off to a great start with parents paying for wedding and house down payment. Some make just low enough to get food stamps and Medicaid and save a bunch there.

The ones right above that are the ones who have to get clever. No subscriptions, one car, no paid haircuts, rarely eating at restaurants, no fast food, selling clutter online or to consignment. Kids have one or two pairs of shoes instead of buying name brands they’ll wear for 3 months, spouse has to be practical, no Amazon for fun.

Or you can have picked the right career and make enough money so it doesn’t hurt so badly when you pay 3x as much for everything as you should. Even better if your spouse did the same, and you didn’t buy an overpriced/sized house.

Just like there are multiple ways to becoming overweight, there are multiple ways to become broke. Everything is definitely way, way overpriced though. Especially degrees.

That’s incredible. I don’t have much of a craving for junk at this point (day 22), but I know I won’t be completely strict with this when it’s done. A lot of my social life is tied into cooking/eating with friends and family and it’s a bummer to turn down a little slice of cake someone was so excited to share. I’ve lost 11 lbs though, so it definitely is great at trimming the excess. I’m finding I’m waking up too early so I guess I don’t need as much sleep. Had a weird dream about mayo which I miss.

Those youth are ignored/not cared for/taken for granted under pretty much all circumstances, really not sure why you think the lockdowns disrupted that at all.

People with kids know how detrimental it was for families to be stuck inside for months on end, unable to get any space by going out to work and school. Imagine those extremely dysfunctional, often large families inside small houses together. “Youths” home from school for months on end, watching and playing who knows what screen trash 24hrs a day, having lost the only structure they had from school. Siblings fighting constantly with no outlets. I imagine there was a lot more abuse going on, and I think there are articles that mention it. Lots of little monsters were living in very stressful situations and became more of monsters.
I worked with veterinarians years ago and their insurance was going up every year. There were multiple ones at the clinic and each billed differently. There was the one everyone loved (her hallway would be filled with Xmas presents and cards every year from clients). She would tell people alternatives to the $80 dog arthritis meds, and anti-anxiety meds, and was more conservative with ordering tests and X-rays.

The old guy would order a bit more tests right off, for many of the pets that came in sick. There are some that absolutely love animals and won’t do anything that’s not absolutely necessary, but you have to find them. They’re probably also making a lot less money.

Went from 136 to 128 (I’m 5’3” for reference.) Allowed myself some concessions the next few months. I did notice that dairy makes my joints inflamed.

That’s what I lost the first time - 8lbs. Interesting about the dairy. I messed up the reintroduction phase the first round but want to do it right this time. I bet a lot of people with plantar fasciitis and random joint pain would get relief from this plan.

Day 14 update: feeling great. Big changes so far: abs are almost totally flat (any water weight, bloating - no more). Minimal craving for junk food even as I watch people eat pizza, tacos, chips. And I LOVE that stuff. Not missing the margaritas or alcoholic seltzers I used to love. Fruit tastes like candy now.

Needing less sleep. Waking up about an hour and a half before normal, ready to go. I read a quote from a Whole30er’s blog “I became the very best version of myself”. This thing is restrictive but it’s the same stuff we would eat if we didn’t have access to processed stuff. It’s basically just removing non-food from your diet.

I’ll look into that. I’ve heard about nattokinase but haven’t looked into it. I do lots of potatoes now. I’m not sure how anyone would stay full otherwise.
