Some people just don’t want to lead a responsible lifestyle. The lifestyle they love is to be a scavenger. To do that successfully, they have to manipulate gullible people who are willing to enable their lifestyle.
Where you went wrong is you made her feel bad for taking advantage of you. If you want to keep enabling that lifestyle without feeling bad, you have to be willing to just throw money at the problem and move on like wealthy liberals do. You’ll have plenty time to virtue signal on social media in order to have others tell you what a good person you are.

You are right about the lifestyle. I think some people don't mind it. I gave her money but decided I need to step up. My plan was to introduce her to a women's shelter across town. I knew she would say no but I gave her the print out just to show that I care. She thanked me. I included some phone numbers and a note.
