Aesthetically, Lexus just doesn't move the needle. Plus the cost is much higher to get similar features as the others.
I think the GX and LX look pretty good. But do admit others don't. But I never had a single issue with my Lexus and just find the luxury items to actually be more "luxury" and not just dressing up the lesser brand. A Lexus steering wheel just feels nicer than a cheaper car. Cant say that for our Infiniti. Its just a leather wrapped version of the nissan.

Instead of suburban check out the Yukon/Tahoe
Negative, only a child can fit in that third row plus you lose the travel space in the back. The new Premier suburban has no complaints with me. I drove all the way from Atlanta to New Orleans without even having to refuel and it had ton of comfort and space for everyone.

Add another for the Acura. Have a '17 MDX Technology SH-AWD and really like it. Oh and to the guy that says I have negative equity in it........
well you'd be WRONG.
I looked at most in your group and chose the Acura. Infiniti was second place. The rest were distant thirds etc. Didn't really like the Audi and no dealerships around me make me worry about service. Audi's track record for maintenance isn't great. Had a rental Traverse and didn't care for it. Felt buzzy. Suburban wouldn't fit in the garage so no. Expedition, nah. Didn't look at the Nissan at all.

Expeditions get crummy mileage, but they last forever. Mine is old enough to vote.

I have the MDX, brother has the Tahoe aka Suburban. After both driving each others vehicle, we both prefer the MDX. It's pretty damn sporty for a SUV that seats 7. I wouldn't take the traverse if you gave it to me. BIL has the Audi, not a fan, plus if you're keeping for any length of time it's going to cost you. I had a '11 expedition. Loved it, just don't need that much vehicle. Ex wife has the QX60, says it's under powered. The 80 is very nice, no experience though.
I test drove the lexus(insert random numbers here) with the 3rd row. If I could have gotten the deal I did on the MDX, I would have gone with the lexus.

You did it right. We only have the one kid and need anything Expedition-sized. A 3rd row seat in a normal SUV just doesn't work, IMO.

Chevy Suburban* Liked this one but did ride a bit like a truck.
Infiniti QX60* See below
Infiniti QX80* I had 3 QX 80s over 7 years. Really did love this car but it’s so far behind with tech my husband couldn’t handle it anymore.
Ford Expedition Hated this vehicle. Bumpy, uncomfortable seats, too many glitches with syncing, radio, etc. got rid of it after 6 months
Audi Q7 never owned but it’s on my list to give a try
Nissan Armada Hard pass
Acura MDX Close friend has one and loves it. Fun to drive, comfortable, lasts forever.

It’s not on the list, and it wouldn’t be the OT if someone completely ignored the op to give an answer, but

It has 295hp. What is she so used to driving that she considers this underpowered??

OK Mr Nissan salesman.
I do not sell for Nissan, but I have sold used Nissan Armadas and they are very dependable and very well priced. One of the few situations where the salesman and customer "win" on the same deal.

Yea I didn't get that at all driving it. I thought it had pretty good pickup. We're toting kids around, not taking it to the track or pulling a horse trailer.

My parents have a 2013 Traverse. It’s ok. Not super comfortable to me and doesn’t feel plush. Has been reliable though.

We have had the following:
Acura MDX. Fast and fun but too small with rear facing car seats. Not much o a rear compartment.
Nissan Pathdinder. Bigger but not as much juice. Comfortable but still on the small side. Very tight on road trips.
Chevy Tahoe. Very comfortable large enough for car seats and road trip cargo.
My 5’2” wife who has never owned a domestic produced vehicle loves the Tahoe.

Does yours eat tires? The weight of the vehicle just destroyed tires when I owed the QX80s. Wondering if they figured out a fix for it.

What about a Mazda CX 9? It’s smaller than most of the ones you listed, but all the car mags say it’s awesome, best bang for your buck.
