Less than $20. That bracelet I posted uses screws on the removable links, which makes it really easy to adjust.
Or you can buy a spring bar tool (Bergeron 6767) and a set of jewelers screwdrivers and watch a YouTube video to learn how to do it yourself.

Not really. Tags are somewhat of a fools watch. They got super popular and people buy them for the name recognition more than anything else. That's okay, but you should understand going into it that you aren't getting a watch with features that you couldn't get for hundreds of dollars less.

I am somewhat of a watch enthusiast, but nowhere to the degree of some of the folks on this board.
In the sub $200 range, the 007 is a great watch, maybe my most worn watch. Also, check out the black and orange monster, great watches for the money.
Orient is a good watch also, can't speak for their divers, but I have a Bambino that is a classy looking "dress" watch on a leather strap.

I have a Timex that I've worn for at least 20 years. I just change the battery every 5 years and it just keeps on ticking.

I disagree. Now, a few of their offerings are over priced. However, many of the high end watch makers have a model that fits this description as well.

Its not a metal band, but check on jomashop. I got this one that retails around $400 off of there for under $200. They have plenty others with metal bands. I love the eco drive as a casual every day wear.

You bought the wrong lug width NATO band. The spring bar should not be exposed like that.

I just grabbed a Seiko SKA371 off of Amazon slightly above your range. It's a bulky dive watch with excellent reviews. LINK

I can't disagree with you because you used "somewhat". Their mid-level automatic watches use out of house movements (or knockoffs of ETA movements) if I'm not mistaken, and are priced close to the same as other watches of similar quality. I'm not very familiar with their in house movements of their higher end watches, but I can appreciate when a company makes their own movement and charges more for it.
What I don't like about Tag's is their quarts movement watches. That's where people look like buffoons to me. You spent $1800 on a watch that has nearly the same guts as a timex sold at Walmart?
An old manager of mine was showing his off one day and I had to kind of hold my tongue. I know it comes off as snobbish, but I research the hell out of stuff when I buy it. I just can't see spending the money on something unless I know it's worth it. Not just because it has a name slapped on it.

I would go with the SKX007 or the Seiko Monster in that price range. It's a no brainer really.

Prince William wears a mid-size, blue faced quartz Omega Seamaster given to him as a teenager by Diana. He could afford a Patek, but instead wears an old $1200 watch for sentimental reasons.

And I wore a $200 citizen eco-drive that I really liked until it died on me. I have nothing against a quartz movement. But I also think some people will buy the name brand and try to flaunt it like it's a fancy watch.
I don't think it matters to Prince William how much the watch costs. So it doesn't matter if it's a $7 quartz watch or a $40,000 Patek Philippe..... it's probably all about the same percentage of his family's net worth, so what's the difference.

I have a Victorinox that I like, it was a little out of your price range though. I did have a Seiko that I loved, but lost it years ago.

Citizen watches typically have an oddball 23mm lug width. If you go with a NATO strap, get a 24mm- it'll work. Be careful of putting NATO or Zulu straps on Citizen watches as the springbar may be too close to the case to slip the strap through. Some NATO are thin, meaning they will work, but some thicker NATO or even Zulu straps might be too thick unless you use a thin springbar.

Ive got a cheapo Skagen that I like a lot. Its really thin and super light. Im not a fan of the bulky watches and when I saw its size/thickness I was sold. Retail under $200 typically. I am curious though whats the boards taken on Skagen.
