Need help selecting a watch

Looking for a decent everyday watch with a metal band for around 150-200 bucks. Been checking out some used watch forums and seeing some orients and seikos in that range.
Any other suggestions? I'm pretty new to the watch game so I'm not familiar with many brands.

Victronix Swiss Army chronograph in stainless keeps great time and is a tough watch.

I like it, pretty simple. The black watch faces just don't really do it for me.

A lot of people that know a lot more about watches than I do rave about these as a bargain watch. Apparently their make and movement is comparable to watches 2-3 times their cost.

Yes, a good starter/everyday watch is a seiko, orient, or even citizen. I like some of the victorinox pieces as well.
Only downside to some of these listed is the lack a sapphire crystal. Mineral glass gets chipped easily.

There are lots of very good sterile dial submariners out there with reliable movements. I picked up one with an ETA 2836-2 and sapphire crystal for like $200.
Keep an eye on the watch forum classifieds, lots of good deals.

Seiko SKX007. Usually on Amazon for under $200 and then add this oyster bracelet.

Gaston posted some badass pilot watches on here, can't remember the name. They were around 400-600 though.

Laco is the brand I'm pretty sure. ETA 2824-2 movements, sapphire crystal. Pretty damn solid.

How much would someone charge to put the metal band on one? I've got the SKX171 and have been thinking about doing that.
I'd be afraid to do it myself. I broke the second hand off of a watch when I took the band off to take a link out of the band.

I'm not a fan of the metal band look but if you're willing to go a different route, I have these below and love em. Citizen Eco-Drive, 2nd I got from Orvis, and the Luminox.
If I remember correctly, the first two are in the $150-200 range but the Luminox may be more in the 300-400 range. Totally worth it if you're willing to spend the extra money

Sorry, dude, but I just don't see how that would happen. The second hand isn't even attached anywhere really near to the pin that attaches the bracelet to the watch.
ETA: I couldn't imagine that a jeweler would charge more than $15 or so to do it. Really it should be less because changing bracelets really doesn't take more than a few seconds. The tool to do it costs a few bucks.

This is my Citizens. I know it's a little more than your budget but I highly recommend citizen as a brand.

My brother in law just bought this casual Tag for $700 plus tax from Aucoin Heart. He said they price matched some online price. Pretty nice watch especially for the money. LINK
