Only place where In N Out has shuttered locations. And it was due to safety concerns with the staff.

The better measure would be the overall employment data and not just fast food jobs. It's probably just as bad, but it would be a better measure.

The positive is that other fast food places may institute technology sooner.

A Popeyes with technology ordering?

Anybody who owns a business could tell Gavin what was gonna happen. I don't care what data they put out, we knew what would happen.

Some other baristas took a stand for ICE arresting 2 of their illegal coworkers by not working for a few minutes or maybe it was just simultaneous smoke break…

It will impact everyone eventually, because the fast food industry will lean more heavily into automation because of the California minimum wage. The learnings from this will allow them to easily implement automation everywhere else.

the CEOs get a huge bonus when this happens while the workers get nothing but minimum wages.

The CEO of McDonald's is responsible for the well-being of over 40,000 restaurants in over 100 countries worldwide. He and the board of directors make decisions that impact nearly two million people who are employed with the company. Meanwhile, a worker at an individual restaurant is responsible for the computer they use to place someone's order.

As if unionization didn’t ruin our manufacturing economy enough, Cali government decided to act as a union for workers who prefer drugs and idiocy over gainful employment

These idiots thought companies and franchisees were just going to take a hit to their profit margins

The left consistently ignores reality when they raise minimum wage or taxes.

Their belief in both cases is that everything else will be static: same job numbers with same hours, same taxpayers paying for the same revenue. Never occurs to them that people will find ways to keep their money.
