I've never seen another product that is more difficult to watch and/or listen to. Outside of the handful of games that actually get televised you either have to pay big money or find something pirated to watch a particular game if you are out of market. It is hard to even find radio feeds.

I think the fact that many young stars aren't Americans hurts. Also NBA regular season is awful

This season has been the best start to the season I've seen in years. Lots of great games.

Not liking something doesn't mean it sucks. Just makes you sound miserable.

I haven’t watched an NBA game in at least 25 years.

The regular season is basically irrelevant

The league has turned into a 3pt shooting contest and is boring

The superstars that people cared about are old and about to retire or already did

The new superstars are all foreigners. Basketball mostly caters to the black population and they don’t want to worship and buy swag from guys who don’t look like them

League has gotten too political.

Players sitting out games during regular season for no reason at all.

It’s really just become a boring product and none of the new “superstars” are likeable and sell merch. Jayson Tatum was their best hope but he’s not clutch and boring. They tried to push Anthony Edwards into that roll last year but in reality he’s a borderline top 10-15 player who just talks a lot of shite.

I was told their ratings are all time highs every year.

I contribute to that. I haven’t watched a single minute of a single NBA game since I graduated college.

Nothing exciting happens in a basketball game until the last couple of minutes

They should hire the WWE writers to churn out some decent copy.

That's pretty notable any way you slice it. People see "ratings falling" for literally anything like NBA, NASCAR or WWE and think the companies are dying, ignoring the overall reality of cable TV.

Then they come out with that dumbass all star game setup. NBA is the perfect example don’t fix something that isn’t broke.

Doesn’t help you have a bunch lazy assholes getting paid millions no matter how good they play or amount of effort put in. I say let it burn just like college football.

How is college football "burning"?

The last series I really enjoyed watching was 2009 Bulls v Celtics.

My viewership is down 100% since then.

Celtics/Lakers was must watch TV when Bird and Magic played. There was everything. Fast breaks, great passing, solid inside and outside game on both sides.

Actual defense was played. Unless it was a game winning shot you pretty much never saw any “look at me” celebration.

Today, not so much.
