Wife and I are lowering sugar intake or at least trying to (4 kids), lol
So for coffee, what are the top natural sweeteners used that work/taste the best. We aren't interested in using artificial stuff and dying from cancer in a few years.

Try to cut out all sources of sugar as much as possible.

Sugar is natural. Just buy the natural sugar and not the refined over processed garbage.

Coffee uses so little sugar that it seems any substitute would not be worth the hassle.
Just do what I do and drink it black.

Good idea, maybe I'll start a thread and ask for some natural replacements used for sweeteners...
LOL

If you use something like stevia and have pets, for the love of God keep it out of their reach.
I came home one day and found a bag of stevia all over the ground. Honestly my first thought was "crap he is going to be hyper". Thankfully it must have just happened, because he went from being fine to losing his balance and collapsing.
Had to speed to the vet and carry him in (100lb lab) and they said his blood sugar was so low he was minutes from dying. I don't let that shite in my home anymore.
tl;dr csb: Those natural sugars even in a small amount can kill even a large dog.

Just go without sweeteners. Your tastes will adjust and after long it won't be necessary.

interdasting, so if doggie had died, it appears completely accidental.

I thought the same thing....move over antifreeze hotdogs, enter stevia powder donuts

Just don't use sugar at all, that shite is horrible for you and your kids.
It will suck for a couple of weeks, 30 days tops, and then you will get over it. Your kids will get over it too.
Don't be a sissy

I use the Nu Naturals, alcohol-free stevia drops. It is not technically an artificial sweetener - they have to sell it as a "nutritional" supplement.
Closest to a sugar taste for coffee, without any aftertaste (or I don't notice one), that I've found. I think the risk profile is too high for most artificial sweeteners, but Stevia seems okay. It didn't take me very long to get used to it, either, just a couple of weeks IIRC.
