If a little sugar in your coffee is making you fat you must have terrible genes

I tried organic stevia assuming I would like it, but it tastes exactly like fake sweetener. So, I guess if you like those horrible little pink and yellow packets you'd like it, but I couldn't do it. It is natural though, so I would use it if I had to.

The stuff does have a different effect on dogs as it does humans. It apparently makes their blood sugar plummet. Which is what happened to my dog.
You know, I did notice that detail in your original story and didn't think anything of it at the time. It does, kind of, make sense. When researching Stevia (before I started using it), I found it is used to treat diabetes in the 3rd world. I must have a more pronounced effect on dogs.

Yeah. I'm no vet, I'm just repeating what they told me at the time.
Whenever they said that such a small amount could do so much damage, I put a perma-ban on that shite in my house.
I was just lucky to have gotten home when I did. He went from 0-100 in a second. I'm also lucky that I lived in beau pre at the time. I much have hit 100mph down river road en route to the vet school.
Edit: it's a product in Stevia and other fake sugars called Xylitol. It's in some gums as well.

Stop consuming this bullshite. Stevia-flavored sugar alcohols. Get the real stuff from Whole Foods or internet.

Meh...Im 6'3 210 and work out 3 to 5 times weekly (again 4 kids)at 48 yr old
So you think if a person isn't fat they shouldn't take care of what they consume? Wouldn't taking the proper steps have the same health benefits to me as it would a fatter guy like yourself (I know you). I'll take my genes al day every day.
reminds me of a quick story...guy sees dandruff shampoo in his friends bag. He says "why do you use this? You don't have dandruff." Other guy answers, "that's right, I don't"
We are proactive and want to remove as much bad stuff as we can from our family's diet. Refined sugar is one of those. But I wanted to know what others use in coffee that actually tastes alright and doesn't kill us.

I use Xyla (xylitol). It's a wood sugar that supposedly doesn't metabolize the same as regular sugar.
You can use it 1:1 ratio as you would use sugar, but we haven't gone so far as to start baking and cooking with it.
I only use it in coffee. It is expensive at 7.99 or 8.99 per pound.

OP is an idiot, just like most of the posters in this thread.
There seems to be a natural need for people to believe in things entirely on faith.

So for coffee, what are the top natural sweeteners used that work/taste the best. We aren't interested in using artificial stuff and dying from cancer in a few years.
Try sugar in the raw. It's as natural as it comes.
Either way though, sugar has only 15 calories per teaspoon.
Best advice, stay away from high fructose corn syrup. That sucker can sneak up on you because it's everywhere.
