Yep.
We had an election where the popular vote winner took office and began enacting things he said he was going to do, often in the face of unprecedented and dubious judicial roadblocks.
The “no kings” people would prefer a system where unelected individuals enact policy. Very ironic.
This all began in the first weeks of his presidency when the federal worker firings began. It mentally broke a lot of people who truly believed they had a right to a job.
I’m not comfortable with a system where federal employees are immune from democratic will.

This is absolutely true, I have no doubt.
I think technocracy is our future.

We should just let ChatGPT elect the president

and the protests are over in new orleans thanks to heavy thunderstorms

I genuinely do not understand the “no kings” protests
Their definition of a king is someone elected by the people who they don’t like and who cuts the govt funding of their purely political NGOs.
Besides actually being elected per the Constitution and even by a majority of the voters Trump has also been abiding by multiple judicial overreaches by unelected Dem appointed judges and pushing through the slow appellate process also often decided by Dem appointed judges.
It’s just the latest catch phrase and political theater that they are throwing out and hoping it plays better than everything else they have tried to put on Trump the past 4 years. When they pull these stunts you know they are panicking.

Remember, these are people who think republicans are a “threat to democracy” while the democrats kept the lid on a geriatric until they couldn’t hide his mental decline anymore. Then they forced the guy out against his will and anointed their chosen candidate without a single democratic primary…
If that isn’t, quite literally, subverting democracy then idk what is.

They didnt even have a primary. They inserted their candidate. Opposite of democracy

There was never a national reckoning about that. Shouting "threat to democracy" then blaming democracy for the country's presidential choice is a bold strategy, Cotton.

I just drove MLK from Tunnel to the Mall.
All is clear.
Spoke too soon. They had 5 freaks holding a Mexican and US flag in front of Old Navy.
I will try to get a photo next time I pass in the area.
They must have moved now they are at courthouse square about to get rained on.

Yea I just saw them downtown Houma. My son gave them have the peace sign as we drove by. Then I saw someone with a deleted 6.7 power stroke smoke them out.

I counted 15 people, 13 Karens and 2 dudes, based on looks.

man I hate to be the one to tell you this but you are not the arbiter of what other Americans can or should do with their rights to speak and assemble. Certainly you can have an opinion but it’s worth exactly the same as the protester’s
there’s our enlightened Centrist.

again, i doubt that.

The No King protestors pushing for ignoring of laws passed by democratically elected representatives of the people seems more like they support Kings and dictatorships than they support republics and democracies.

Dem Judges are usurping the executive and legislative branches’ authorities, and no kings want want laws passed by elected representatives of the people ignored and hope the judges continue overstepping authority and slowing down the legally and constitutionally elected President, the head of the executive branch, and the commander in chief (not the California governor).
They didn’t protest when their voted on candidate Biden got replaced and removed as the Dem candidate without another vote of the people, and they certainly didn’t complain about Biden’s autopen making up law or ask who was really making the decisions and signing Biden’s name.
Trump has abided by the judiciary overreaching and worked appeals, so how is the elected President by the majority of the voters who is following the judicial branch even when it’s acting like kings in the wrong??

Some of these riots didn’t exist. Lafayette for example.
