I’m a strong fortinet disliker.

Were a PAN, extreme, CS,and cohesity reseller among a few other things.

Today sucks, but buy the dip. CS is a great company with a great tool kit.

shite happens.

Word is CrowdStrike sent a major update to all of its clients and it majorly fricked everything up.

Have they tried unplugging it for 10 seconds and plugging it back in?

What would be the best tactic if stuck in an airport? A: Book hotel room ASAP and get out of airport. Work on rebooking for another day. B: Hop in line and hope for the best C: Find a corner to sit in and feverishly work the apps D: Get a rental car and start driving

Depends on how badly you want to get where you're going.

Really wanna be there?

Been using and deploying their firewalls since FGT-60 came out. Which is almost 20 years. I’m a big believer, but the “recent” spate of CVEs is annoying.

We were an extreme shop for a long time. Got to refresh cycle and they lost us..this was during Brocade aquisition time. They couldnt seem to decide which OS was their future.

They have a reputation for being "behind" on their systems.

Probably saved them here.

Dont head to the airports without checking 1st.

Some are cancelling and others are delayed with no rebooking avail until sunday.

My question is why do so many people run crowdstrike.

You obviously work for a small boy....

Our company was affected and i legit feel sorry for the deskside techs right now (we use bitlocker too, which adds another issue to this), but we will NOT be going public with this..Its stupid honestly, to let groups know what you are running as protection against them

Flying from San Antonio (saw plenty of big women- shoutout Charles Barkley) my colleagues flights are canceled but mine is on time. So far

I’ve experienced work related travel chaos a multiple times, and it can be a major pain in the arse because it adds additional layers of complications and hurdles dealing with a situation already beyond your control. Having colleagues involved probably doesn’t help, unless one of them is your new drinking buddy.

However, it beats experiencing travel chaos with a family that includes little kids and 200 pounds of luggage and other crap you’re hauling around. I couldn’t imagine traveling with a family this weekend.

I haven’t been able to work today. Both my Lenovo and dell laptops are locked out along with most of the rest of my company and were mostly remote. Only good thing is that it aligned with cfb25 being released today so even though I have a shite ton of work to do I’m able to just play that all day until IT reaches out to me
