Portland airport is still open. Sound like the Airlines are coming back on line.
Hopefully your delay will be minimum.

Edit: it's a worldwide IT outage for airlines that is grounding all outgoing flights
We’re leaving tomorrow morning to go to Miami to board a crusie ship for a 7-day eastern Caribbean vacation. I briefly considered flying us down there. But then I remembered the physical and mental torture of my last flight that was so bad it made me swear off flying all together. So, instead I chose to make the 12 hour drive instead.
Looks like I made the right choice.

And there the start of the delays pushed an hour for now

My flight out of London is delayed with no estimate for departure

I’m doing random clicking of mapped flights on FlightAware and it looks like only UPS, FedEx, and Amazon flights are in the air on the East Coast.

That doesn’t sound ideal.

At the gate. Only delay was bag drop was backed up. Atlanta flight looks to be on time. Gas pumps were offline though.
Fingers crossed for connection.

About to fly out of msy on American- anyone have an idea if I should just cancel?
Posted on 7/19/24 at 4:34 am to When in Rome
Yeah Atlanta connection to msy out of pwm.
So far the board looks very normal.
I saw only one delay and one cancel on a full board albeit a small airport.
When I get to Atl I’ll update.
ETA - couple more now.
