The email conversation about Ruth’s Chris is mind bogglingly bad and pissed me off

What's the gist of these emails?

That Brown needed 2 or so hours for meals in Baton Rouge where he was not to be disturbed and his secretary was a real dick about it when responding to the people in New Orleans requesting help as the City was on the verge of falling into chaos.

Yep. First guy called it a man-made disaster....He may as well have said it was intentional.

I quit watching 8 minutes in. Maybe I'll go back later and see if they get to the point of claiming the levees were blown up. Maybe not.

That LSU professor who "predicted" Katrina sure loved to smell his own farts. I remember him from when he was in the news at the time. Blaming the surge on the oil industry and then at the end saying subsidence and FOUR feet of sea level rise in 70 years means the new protection system is already becoming obsolete.

The doc didn't even mention MRGO

Subsidence is a major issue in coastal Louisiana. The land is sinking rapidly due to the weight of the river delta. He's right about subsidence being a cause.

But funny how climate nuts throw out huge numbers but do so in a number of years that no one will be around to discredit their claim. It's a risk free prediction. FOUR fricking feet of sea level rise. They already made that prediction in the 1980s for 2020.

Pretty sure it was he and Bush that claimed they originally knew of no problems in Nola while all of the news channels were showing the flooding and people lined up outside of the Convention Center.

I got 38 minutes into it when some “community organizer” blamed the oil industry.

Didn’t waste anymore bandwidth streaming the rest.

Many aspects were man-made and made the situation worse. There were multiple layers to the disaster in New Orleans and the storm was only one.

FEMA comes out looking like complete shite so that was fairly refreshing

Thats because it was Bush's FEMA. And looking back, sure - he was a toolbag. But Biden's FEMA would be getting sucked off. So this shouldn't be any real surprise
