There hasn't been any social justice stuff since the intro and I'm about 30 minutes in. They're probably saving all that for an entire episode later.

The saddest and most eerie part so far is how the cypress swamps always protected the Lower Ninth Ward from storm surge, but the cypress swamps started dying out 30 or 40 years ago and now the Lower Ninth Ward was screwed. To what extent was it the petro factories..

Zero. It was the now closed MRGO that destroyed all of the cypress swamps in St Bernard Parish.

Born and raised in NOLA..yes my house was flooded, yes I lost ALOT of stuff like everyone else. Know what? I didn't dwindle on it 20 years later, like weak minded people. Moved on, got back on the horse. Live in Kentucky, and wont come back to that dump.

I love the guy in the commercial who says “ we’re from New Orleans. We know how to take care of ourselves.”

To be fair, being in NO he probably meant if a gun fight breaks out during a festival, his drink gets roofied or if a tranny comes up and grabbed his package. A weather event was something he wasn’t prepared for.

If Katrina happened again to New Orleans, would it be the exact scenario as ‘05? Better or worse? Would the death toll be higher or lower?

If 2005 Katrina took the same path in 2025 it would be a totally different scenario in NOLA.......I cant speak for the Mississippi Gulf Coast...

NOLA is much safer now than we were back then and the death toll would be much lower

The revelation for me watching was the dry run through that was done by all parties involved a year before Katrina. Hurricane Pam? Idk if I forgot about this or didn’t know but that part of the doc pissed me off.

And the doc didn’t touch hospitals and senior/assisted living homes which was a huge part of the story.

How much time did they spend on devastated communities of coastal Mississippi, St. Bernard, and Plaquemines? I would assume not much since it blows up the whole social justice BS narrative they’ve been pushing for 20 years.

Precisely, but if the levees don’t hold are you looking at floating bodies, rooftop rescues, and the super dome’s aftermath?

The water was rising 1 foot per hour in a lot of these neighborhoods. What would've you done – grabbed a ShopVac?

If this guy isn't in the documentary, I don't want any part of it.

I will forever be glad that Mississippi had Haley Barbour as governor during this time vs someone like Blanco.
