Adams has multiple convictions in Cheatham County for auto burglary, felony theft and aggravated assault. He was also convicted in Nashville for attempted burglary. Adams pleaded guilty last year to felony meth possession and unlawful gun possession by a convicted felon in Nashville. At the time of last night's home invasion, Adams was wanted for probation violation warrants that were issued March 20.

SMH at the idiots in the comments that are defending this POS. He would have just served some time and got out just to do the same thing again, next time possibly killing an innocent victim. I mean, he just broke into a home and beat two people with a hammer. I'm glad our tax dollars don't have to go towards keeping this thug alive.

A picture of the recently deceased. Looks like he made a lifetime of poor decisions.

I wonder who was watching his pitbull?

I call bullshite. He was just trying to return some mail that was delivered to the wrong address and the crazy people with the horrific gun murdered him with no regard for his life.

The man’s wife told News 4 she was already home when the men broke in through a back door and a scuffle ensued. She said one of the men hit her in the head with a hammer.

The Saints' Sean Payton would suggest that this situation was just some "silly stuff" and that guns are unnecessary. Now he's a foosball coach and his opinion carries weight.

Honestly if everyone carried a gun and protected themselves from every criminal and suspected criminal everyone would be much safer

Certainly made a fatal error in the victim selection process.
