Oh yea OP, it’s way better to name your business “southern blah” or “Deep South blah” or “Cajun blah” and be the tenth business with that exact name and the 100th variation of that name

Knew a guy who would take the checks in the company name, which happened to be his name.

Cash them under his personal banking instead of business account.

My take is that you concern yourself with really petty things. This is a foolish thing to be concerned with.

I’m not concerned. I’m off today and just having conversation.

I had a great uncle who ran an insulation business in the late 60s through to around 1991. It was during the time when the government was giving big tax kickbacks to people for insulating their homes.

His last name began with an A. His wife's first name began with an A. His daughter's name began with an A. He named the business AAA Insulation. His outfit was first in the phone book no matter what.

He was an egotistical bastard for the most part, but it was a smart business move.

that used to be recommended(naming a small startup after yourself,) as a means of free advertising and letting everyone who knew you that you were open for bidness

Really? You’ve never been able to get your
Mind around someone naming their business “Mike’s Plumbing” or “Smith’s Surveying”? That shite just eludes you, eh?

You must struggle a lot in life.

Beats those 3 letter names…

KKK Towing

or

SOB Construction

Because 3-letters lack context for patrons.
