Super cruise is amazing. Pretty much everything between my home and work and our house and beach condo is mapped. Just sit back and chill during the drive

Now car manufacturers want to put in one 28 inch all touch widescreen monitor. Talk about distracted driving. That just seems dangerous.

My wife is in tMud if she happens to get behind the wheel of a vehicle without backup camera and front sensors.

I have no idea how she made it in life before I showed up

HUD. I definitely thought it was some marketing bullshite, but it is great being able to see speed and map directions without taking your eyes off the lunatics on the road.

This. Had a rental that had it, and was surprised how much I liked it.

Exactly! It is so good that you can see the ball slip right up under the hitch.

Now, if they incorporate a wireless signal to lower the electronic jack stand and lock the hitch, we'll be in bidniz.

All these are great.

I got the opportunity to take a trip recently with someone who had a carnival and they let me drive.

When I tell you I did probably 10% of the driving and the Carnival did the other 90%, I'm not even exaggerating.

It didn't feel like it took anything away from the driving experience, just took over for the drudgery. It was seriously cool.

For interstate driving it was a dream

My wife has a Kia K5. It’s weird when it steers around curves and keeps in the lane for you. It’s nice to have but good that you can turn it off.

When I die, I will find out how much time I have saved in my life, not digging around my pockets for my car keys. It's absolutely incredible that I can open my door and start my vehicle with the key at the very bottom of my pocket, especially someone who works in a profession that has a lot of "essential" stuff in my pockets.

my new truck has adaptive cruise control and i didn't know how it worked (old truck didnt even have cc).

i changed lanes from behind a car that had made me slow down and it revved the piss out of my engine.

to actually answer OPs question: heated seats. love driving my gfs car in the winter.

Lot of good ones already listed.

One I like is TPMS. My previous vehicle had the type that displayed the actually pressure in each tire. Helped me detect slow leaks more than once. New vehicle only had "indirect" sensors, which aren't worth dog dick.

So I found you can now purchase aftermarket sensors (valve stems) than connect to your phone via Bluetooth and an app. I love them. It's great for vehicles that don't have the capability or even for a trailer you are towing.

I'm an old-school fan of the naturally-aspirated ICE. Hate EV's and hybrids.

Hate this. Even on closest setting it slows down way too early for my taste

Assuming equal peak HP, what about the driving experience of an ICE would you say is superior to that of a hybrid drivetrain?

Either your car has fricky settings or you drive like a lunatic

My 2/4 setting initiates braking far later than I’m comfortable with at interstate speeds. I can’t even imagine driving 75-80 on 1/4.

This thing makes me that annoying one that you have to pass, then passes you, then you have to pass all when you are driving a consistent speed.

No, it doesn't. The only way adaptive cruise control does this is if you don't move to pass slower cars. If you have it set at 80 mph, it will go 80 mph until there is a car at whatever distance you set it to monitor in front of you, going less than 80, which is no different than if you were driving 80 mph yourself, unless you just routinely crash into the back of people to maintain the constant speed you pride yourself on.
