I actually would like to live outside a small town in the country side, but have quick access (15-20) minutes to an interstate and be 1 hour away from a major airport.

I know very easy to find.

Outside of Knoxville. Somewhere, not in the city limits, but with mountains and lakes and relaxation.

Just moved to Knoxville a month ago. It is awesome. Weather is great and it's so pretty.

knoxville really is a cool city heading in the right direction it seems.. my folks moved there about 8 years ago and are happy

the wife and I moved just outside of Raleigh and we're happy with the area. 2 hours to the beach, 2 hours to the mountains

Some small town in Maine or Vermont. I have a friend in Belgrade, ME. I may take a trip out there and see it for myself. I live the cold and the snow so that’s not an issue. We haven’t even hit summer yet and I’m already sick of it.

Happy here in Franklin, TN. Close enough to Nashville without all the headaches of a big city, great public schools, low taxes, very like minded city.

I'm not too sure about this. Given the great growth of Middle Tennessee and influx of transplants into Williamson County, you may be whistling a different tune in a few years. Williamson County has grown tremendously over the past decade or so and will only continue to do so. As such, it'll soon become crowded and over-developed without the amenities and attractions of a big city.
