I mean what could go wrong? She has been bankrupt, convicted of passing bad checks many times and tried to rip off a dying woman in her will. No way she would do anything unethical as SOLE check signer. OLOL Board would blush at this!
BATON ROUGE - Corruption watchdogs think there are bad optics and ethical questions after the Council on Aging Board voted to allow Tasha Clark Amar to be the only one who signs checks at the agency.
On Friday, employees at the East Baton Rouge Council on Aging started ringing alarm bells about this. Two signatures on expenditures are no longer required, and employees said Clark Amar needs more oversight, not less.
Clark Amar was exposed by the WBRZ Investigative Unit in 2017 after she named herself in an elderly client's will. A series of stories led to tremendous fallout. When the dust settled, Clark Amar backed away from the will.
Recently, an employee came to the WBRZ Investigative Unit expressing concerns about what happened. One employee spoke with us on condition of anonymity and said the situation smells awful.
"I do not believe based upon what happened in the past with a senior and Ms. Amar possibly manipulating her out of her personal money, being able to only sign checks," the employee said. "Being the only signature required for the Council on Aging."
The change was made during an April board meeting. During that meeting it was discussed that the bank no longer requires two signatures, so the COA was planning to remove that requirement too.

Blamed the family and others then she called her mom,
Then she jiggled as she giggled and said with a grin,
“I been witch hunt wit’ all these acquisitions.”
But ol’ Snoopin Nak, he said “oh not So quick!,
You and Mrs. Jackson really think you’re slick.”
Then Tarsha called mayor Broome,
Called in favors due,
Made sure the Metro Council
Got the tax pushed through,
What will she DOOOOOOOOOOO? Where has the cash done gone?
So now Tarsha’s driving a new fancy car,
All her friends gettin’ raises thanks to Ms. Amar,
If she asks for money for the COA,
Just remember what happens when she gets her way,
Taxpayers get SCREEEEEEEEEWWED, where all the money done gone?

Used to do work with the council on aging in different parishes back in the day. Easily the most corrupt organization ever. Zero oversight and the staff is allowed to abuse the system

Just yesterday I was going to start a "whatever happened with the COA" thread and now this.
It is frickING AMAZING that she is being allowed to steal from the taxpayers with ZERO oversight.

Didn't this get elevated to the AG/Governor?
I believe JBE helped push it through because he saw the money laundering/ballot harvesting potential.

Why do these people need to stop. They keep doing it in the open because they know that no one from the MC to the mayor to the AG to the governor will touch them.
They're literally licensed to steal taxpayer money and I don't blame them. You don't blame the cat for eating the bird. It's what they do.
