Was it just me, or did the players run incredibly slow in NFL QB Club 99? Loved the game, playbooks, and graphics over Madden, but the run speed was infuriating.

That was back in the day where you had multiple NBA, MLB, NFL, College Football games. Competition was king and the games were forced to improve dramatically year over year in order to be successful.

found a gameplay stream on youtube. dude took a kickoff at the goal line and ran it out to the 19 or 20 yd line. From the moment he cross the goal line to the moment he was tackled, it took about 5 seconds and it was mostly straight line running

All of these. I only ever owned 4 N64 games, these 3 and Tetris. Hitting on 75% of my purchases ain’t bad

It takes 3 pages for this masterpiece to enter the discussion? Shame on you.

This thread reminds me of how much of my life was spent on the N64...played every one of these games as a middle schooler

If you're looking for an underrated masterpiece, this is the N64 prime example.

No joke, when my wife told me that was her favorite video game, that was actually the moment I decided she might be THE one

I still have mine. My kids love it so I havent gotten them a switch or playstation or anything new.

They (we) play goldeneye, WCW/NWO, mario kart, Ocarina of Time, Blitz, and Mario Party pretty regularly.

Yep. I don't think it was on 64, but me and my brother spent untold hours playing Bill Walsh College Football. I think it was on Genesis, but we liked it better than the old Madden games.

RBI Baseball on OG NES was tGOAT baseball game from my childhood.
