saw her a few years ago at the Dallas Star with James Taylor, she is a good showperson? decent on guitar and vocals, she's still got her head in the late 60s, early 70s with her in between song banter, it was a good show, James Taylor brought the house down that night though

The Daily Mail is awful...I gave their app a try years ago but had to ditch it due to reporting like this...

My teenaged daughter was outraged. I found it really humorous how much of an injustice it was that Taylor Swift didn’t win. She used the words “objectively not even close to the other nominees”. And used Spotify stats in her argument. It was a glorious teenage melt.

Hahaha, cool. You gotta love those teenager melts

How does a person write an article like that without googling Bonnie Raitt first.

Nothing in the article refers to her as being some unknown artist.

and has labeled her as a blues singer

She is definitely known as a blues artist.

You are fake news.

As the story goes, I wasn't around then, my mom did/said the same thing (Who is this old woman winning everything?) when Willie Nelson was winning big at the CMAs or whatever years ago.

she slogged around the bar/opening act/small venue circuit for years before gaining commercial recognition/success, and a big part of that success is because she's of the female persuasion, she's good, and a good performer, but just just run of the mill compared to most blues people

Have your friend make an appointment with the optometrist ASAP. They really shouldn’t be driving without corrective lenses if they can’t see any better than that.

I can't find the word unknown anywhere in the article, just the question "who is Bonnie Raitt?" as a tag line to describe her career.

quote:

has labeled her as a blues singer.

She has basically labelled herself a blues singer and her songs are very bluesy in general.

This our media today. LOL

Well, the Daily Mail is a British-owned publication and in this case, they seemed pretty accurate.

Are you just looking for something to be triggered about?

Is this another case of the Grammy’s trying to be the smartest person in the room ala Jethro Tull over Metallica in ‘89?

It is a Brit dumbass site. What the Limeys know about Music post 1970 you could write on a postage stamp.

Toothless tossers.
