Look at it this way: If you contact any aliens in another galaxy AND they are capable of inter-galactic travel, we would not have a chance against them if they were belligerent. We wouldn't last 2 minutes if they so desired to kill us all. So, I don't have any desires to send a return signal.

(Knowing a little of what would be required to rapidly travel inter-galactic).
