Developed. Undeveloped. Or global south. Would be the proper terminology to use.
I dont use second because I dont think it applies but 'we' dont use 1st and 3rd anymore?

Nope. It's antiquated. Started to phase out after the cold war.
Now it's developed, underdeveloped, and global south (lol)

I remember it from a book of monsters that I found in my grandparents’ attic when I was a kid. That thing was OLD...probably from the early 1900s.
It got burned up in the fire, but I read it over and over hundreds of times when I was a kid. So so many old books.
Lots of history was lost in those flames.:(

I guess but its still been recently used in an academic setting in my presence. Was mainly used to describe how there technically isnt a 2nd world
The reasoning for those other terms

Argentina has spectacled bears.

Why are the photos of these beasts always blurry?

I'm already perfectly aware of everything you said. I didn't correct AU24 on it because it's understood and irrelevant and I'm not that much of a pedantic douchebag

Because that neighborhood probably didn’t have an on duty citizen patrol, established by a local HOA, backed by the sheriff’s department.

See, not nearly the same thing. Look at the length of the legs. The elongated neck. The lankiness of its body.
Definitely a Tchichtn’al’a.
Look at where the front shoulders are...you can almost see how it would look if it stood on its hind legs, those impossibly long limbs with sharp claws at the fingers hanging down, ready to slash at throats and tear at flesh...

Oh it absolutely still gets used
As to there not being a 2nd world anymore. Eh. I'm not sold on that.
I guess their argument is that they are technically first world via meeting the bare minimum requirements... But they sure as frick aren't first world like the US and western Europe
