All the info they have on me is horribly outdated. They have some relatives correct, but the one of my father is correct in name only with a picture of a dude that looks like Rick Ross.

I have a super common name, which is what scares me. After I interviewed for and accepted my first job out of college, I got a call from the HR gal asking if I would have trouble getting to work with my suspended license. The 3rd party background check the company hired to check me provided somebody else with the same name's dmv info. The guy had 5 unpaid speeding tickets and they yanked his license. If they couldn't confirm the info they sent over to employer was accurate, you think I trust these jackwagons?

Mine was pretty accurate other than appraising my home at $77.

I must spend money like crazy. They have my annual salary higher than my net worth.

The 2 cars listed are 6 cars ago and 4 cars ago.

...and they have me listed as married. Yikes!

There are literally hundreds of websites that all contain this same info. Spokeo, familytreenow, whitepages, beenverified, and intelius are just a few that advertise. Try it out; you're on there too. Best not to get too worked up. It's a sign of the times.

I don't have a common name. I need to figure out how to flood the Web with incorrect but harmless misinformation just to screw with them.

they refused saying if I wanted to have my profile deleted I would need to buy an annual membership that amounts to over $100.

It's a scam similar to Yelp. If you call Yelp and complain that the negative reviews remain at the top while the positive reviews all load at the bottom of your business' feed, they tell you only paid members can adjust the reviews to make it fair.

I've opted out of all of those before.. takes under 60 seconds, right from the website. I've never had one refuse to let me opt out and then demand $100 to remove or edit my profile to get rid of false info. I did reply to their email and they finally deleted me off their website.

You can pay an annual fee to sites like Delete Me that keeps all of your info off the web if you are truly worried about it or you can manually do it yourself.

Mine says I have a net worth of $1.... I know it’s at least a few more than that.
