I don't approve of forcing a marriage because you had a child. But at the same time I would encourage your cousin to try his very hardest to make things work in the relationship.
If the parents are not married/together, they better learn to be best friends. One thing is for sure, a child needs both parents. I hate dead beat dads.

You are correct. It was me that misread.
On that note he should pay his child support and spend as much time as possible with the baby. He should not marry someone he has no feeling for. He could live with her but has already demonstrated he is too stupid to keep from knocking her up.
