My supervisor just called me on the carpet for not being sensitive

Yesterday I was talking to someone at work, and they told me they're an FSU fan. I said I was a fan of Auburn, so they brought up the NC game. And my response was, "so you must like crab legs and rape?" 
My supervisor overheard this conversation. She is a big time feminist and liberal. I tried not to laugh as I was being scolded. I have not conformed to the political correctness I guess. #PussificationofAmerica

You should've told her that you weren't joking and that by supporting Florida state they were enabling rapists and rape culture and it triggered you to the point where you just had to say something. She might've started crying and apologized

During the Croom era, the administrative assistant to my VP asked me who State was playing that weekend. It said LSU. Then asked if State had a chance. I responded that "there are prison rapes that are less brutal than what LSU will do to us."

Yeah, I can see that being inappropriate in the workplace.
You could've just said it was a hell of a game. Thought we had it wrapped up at half seeing that we were beating them on both sides of the ball. Then from the fake punt on (3rd qtr?), we were done. Great game though.
I would've said something like that rather than yelling rape in the office.

If your workplace is so PC that anything possibly being construed as a trigger should be kept silent, you should not know that she is a feminist or a liberal.
