He went active on the kidney transplant list on Thursday and we got the call tonight that there’s a match and he’s scheduled for surgery tomorrow.

It’s all happened so fast that we’re still processing everything. We have a new lease while the donor and their family’s came to an end. It’s heavy shite and an emotional wringer.

A little backstory: he’s been on dialysis since he was 16 months old. Pretty much 22 of his 24 years. We knew he go straight to the top of the list once active, but he’s not an easy match so the suddenness is a bit overwhelming.

Not sure what I’m saying here other than rambling.

I do really want to thank you here because throughout the years there have been some really really low spots and TD has helped keep my sanity.

There are really good people in this world. Many here. Thanks and Godspeed everyone.

Get some sleep man. I’m not much of a praying man, but I’ll pray for your boy at mass tomorrow.

A very immediate family member is an organ recipient and would not be here today if not for that procedure. It's been over 10 years and he's still with us. I am not religious, instead I thank the Doctors and the technology of modern medicine that give us our extended time on this earth.

Please love and enjoy your son like never before, and hopefully you have many decades of quality time together.

Congrats.

That’s incredible. Best wishes to your Son for a problem free transplant and full recovery.

God bless the person who donated their organs so others could benefit with the gift of life.
