Isn't PrizePicks illegal in Louisiana? They legalized gambling, but never fixed the loophole for "Daily Fantasy".

Sounds like he needs to take a semester off and go work at one of the Rigs or as helper at one of the plants.

He'll fit right in with a gambling problem. He can hit up the truck stop casino/ video poker kiosk with his coworkers on the way to work.

Deprivation is a motivator if you are paying his tab you’re done if he wants to go back to school it’s on his dime. He is an adult, all his bills go to him car insurance cell phone everything . If he lives at home give him 90 days to find a job and a place to live.

Depends on how good a job you did at failing. Just barely failed probably not a problem. 1.0 gpa may need to check out some masonry YouTubes.

Do not do that. You're propping him up.

My son had a terrible first semester in college. He hid his grades from us but we could look them up.

We went to a nearby restaurant (so I'd stay calm) and sat him down. I told him that if his grades didn't improve dramatically at the end of the next semester that I would stop writing checks for school and that I had no place for him in my business.

He ended up graduating with a 3.0 which, coming from where he started was pretty impressive. Take away any and all safety nets and he should respond.

Stop babying him. If he flunks out you've at least tried. He must know that if he does you will still foot the bill. If he does flunk out make him work a summer in that masonry business and don't help him even with gas $$. If your not in school you will work and pay your way. Then after he gets a taste of real life he may be ready to head back to school and buckle down

You should have thought of raising him before hitting college.

What an interesting progression in this thread. He went from some poor guy who just wanted to watch college football instead of studying to some POS degenerate with 83 credit cards who got kicked out the house and is couch surfing while gambling away all his money and internship opportunities
