I'm sorry. I hope you find someone to share your life with. Don't give up. I've always believed there is a special person out there for everyone. Be true to yourself, try not to be too negative (trust me sometimes that is hard to do)and smile. Even though your heart is crying, try to keep a positive attitude. More than anything a positive attitude will attract others. Remember this, somewhere out there is that special person who feels the same lonliness that you're experiencing right now.
Fate is an amazing thing. Me and my partner are approaching fifty years together. I recall I'd about given up and then there she was........
Most important when you find that special person, never (and I do mean never) take her/him for granted. Work at your relationship every single day. Don't know if you're female or male. Doesn't matter. A single rose for her or a single carnation for him.Surprise your partner (especially if you sense they're down) with flowers. Flowers work. Trust me.
Good luck.

Life is a series of ups and downs.
Stop being a pussy.
Regardless of where you are, it could be a lot worse.

Divorce can be hard, but enjoy the freedom to put your pee pee wherever you want.

My parents have been married 65 years, I'm single, our family (sibling interactions) is mostly dysfunctional and I hate the holidays too.
I spent last night in a hotel room out of town to avoid one family gathering. Sister got divorced and the guy she's seeing makes the hair on my neck stand straight up.
Tonight I am with the parents and will be with them tomorrow as the siblings do their own thing.
Happy Hannukah, Kwanza, Merry Christmas to all.

No need to be such an internet hard arse.
Not everyone is close to their families and many people are depressed during the holidays.
Sorry about your neighbor. I would hate to die "in" my living room floor.
