You better look into where you're going to store it.
The first year we had our party barge, we used it just about every weekend from the end of spring-early fall.
Then it got to be a pain in the arse because it's so big, and the warehouse we keep it at is a really tight fit.
Picking it up and getting it back into the warehouse was my biggest gripe, other than that, we definitely got our moneys worth.

Pontoon all the way, the newer models can handle plenty of horsepower and handle coastal chop as well as a bay boat, especially a v-toon.
I have been eyeing a triple toon angler qwest, 22' center console with a 175 on the back as my retirement boat.
Check out Manitou, and Bennington for the Mack daddy toons.
Hope the pic works.

If you own a Duramax, you obviously are quite astute. Trashiness is usually reserved for F250 people.

OP, with teens, I would look at a deck boat. Kids are going to want to ski. Sure you can do that with a toon boat, but it's APITA.

Yeah I’m actually looking at one now. Any one you recommend?

I went deckboat over pool.
Was a good choice. Hours of fun, 3-4 weekends a month May-Sept.
The kids all ski, tube, kneeboard and wake board. We taught alot of their friends as well.

We have a 25' pontoon docked at our camp. If you plan on storing, trailering, launching, etc. it's a massive PITA. Just a heads up.

We also have a 25’ TriToon. We have grandkids as well. It has a 200 hp which will run 40 mph. I had a double canopy installed. Soooo glad I did. We slip it. Also have a change room ( curtain )under a lounger. I put a small porta potty in there. Works out well for the ladies. Also have a trolling motor that I remove when we are not fishing. I have plans to mount a small diving board on the bow where the trolling motor mounts are. Good Times.
