Do you dunk on them during practice for fun?

doubt I'll be much of a ref yeller. I'll prolly just say something super shitty to him when he passes me, though.

1-0 in my illustrious career.

I'd say NBA assistant within a year and prolly GM before my 30th birthday.

Made some key, key defensive adjustments tonight, D.

We were down 12-3 to end the first and our PG got kicked out of the game with about 4 minutes left in a nail biter.

Gutsy, gutsy win tonight.

solid strategy..... put the 6-1kid in the back to intercept the long pass.

Working the refs is one thing but the better coaches are coaching/making adjustments, etc. The coaches who make a living staying on the refs are the ones least likely to know the game, so they do what the only thing they can.

Laid out to poke the ball away from a kid from behind (and it looked clean from where I was) and the ref called a foul and he, um, reacted and got a T

Technicals in this league are automatic ejection and you miss the next game.

In high school, we ran it as a 3/4 court trap, but we were all 6'1 and taller.

We started out like that tonight, but it gave the offense too much room to maneuver. At halftime, we switched it to where the point man was on the defensive side of half-court at the circle and we attached as soon as they crossed half-court.

Chaos ensued.

Funny enough, both refs called my games from when I was a kid, and I went to school with one of them's daughter and spent time at his house in high school.

So it wasn't yelling as much as it was laughing and pleading and prodding.

He's a 13 year old kid who lost his cool in a heated, emotional moment. He's an outstanding kid otherwise.

He got the T and I ran out to meet him and he started crying

They want to be adults, but sometimes they do shite to remind you they're actually still little kids.

Solid..... Ellender has been running that since 89 and done well with it. It works especially well against teams weak in the passing game.

We ran it at STM when I was there and one dude on our team broke the school record for steals in a season because of it.

However, at this age, it's better to run it as we did. Same setup, but less ground to cover.
