My First World Problem

This is my second summer this year. I was on vacation in Australia for the first 10 days of 2018. The average temperature was around 105F/40.5C. Only kangaroos I saw were dead ones on the road or roos sleeping under the canopies of trees. No country outside of the USA believes in air conditioning the way we do. If the pitiful a/c's they use get the inside temp to 80 degrees, they are happy.
Even though we don't regularly reach the 100's, it's just as hot and miserable here.

It’s so hot over there and no one has a/c that works good?

Last week was my second winter this year. We got 8" of snow in Paxson, Alaska last Tuesday.

No.
I mean, malls and stores and shite are comfortable, but most homes are hot as balls. I slept on top of the covers for two weeks.

It’s my understanding that there are hotels in Australia. Get a room in one of those and push the thermostat to 65F first thing when you walk in the room.
About 19C if they use metric.

You aren't getting a hotel room in Australia near that cool unless you're in a swanky place in a big city.

To be fair, your home AC unit is going to give you about 20 degrees cooler than what it is outside.. So if it's 94 degrees outside you can look for it to get no cooler than 74... So if it was 105 degrees then it would likely not get cooler than 85.

I think I speak for the entire board when I say...WUT?

There are plenty of average hotel rooms around Sydney that will be as cold as you like. Even west of Sydney. Never had an issue on my trips. You just have to jam a card in the light switch to keep power on in your room when you leave

I’ve heard it’s the temp going into the return air that the interior temp will be 20° max better than.

This was true with the ac in our old house but my 5 ton American Standard will keep it 72 in here all summer
