It doesn’t matter who is in charge.

The city is dying slowly due to a pathetically crumbling infrastructure the likes of which would take billions upon billions of dollars to upgrade/replace.

At this point it’s protect the port and tourism areas to keep the rest of the city from completely going to shite - more so than it already is.

The city is like a gunshot victim being treated by bandaid instead of actual surgery to prevent its death.

More and more people i speak to- and I mean generational New Orleanians are saying they have had enough and are looking to get out of NO proper.

Sad but really nothing that can be done at this point sans some HUUUGGEE bailout from the feds for infrastructure.

New Orleans represents one of the last strongholds of 'culture', real culture in America, and the world for that matter.

Do you people not realize what is being done?

Taking down monuments will fix things, just haven't taken enough down yet. Once they get Jackson Square down things will be much much better

How's LaToya suppose to afford that new BMW if she has to allocate funds to clean catch basins.

And what happened to all the Casino Money that was going to fix the infrastructure ?

Same shite in the garden district in BR. It’s high ground but houses around here flood with some regularity because the city has never maintained or considered improving the drainage systems.
