Sad but very true.

Find out from the employer if the check he picked up cleared the payroll account. They may be able to tell you where it was deposited/cashed.

I agree with others now that I know he is in the restaurant industry. The restaurant associates are the best bet. Industry workers are EXTREMELY close knit. They will know what is up. Jus make sure to approach them as pure concern for your brother 100% and not in anger towards a potential vice life choice he may have made(not that you would, you seem have a clear mind all things considered)

Did your brother ever visit the VA? A guy I served with disappeared like this after a bout of depression and we found him through a huge network of veterans available from the VA. If he’s in the system, contact them and they will help.

The Hermosa Beach PD website is exceptional.

They look like the type of department that would be very helpful to you.

The whole pier turns into one big nightclub after about 11PM on weekends. Most of the crimes in that area are bar fights being broken up.

Sorry to hear this. I've never met your brother but have a ton of mutual friends with him. Will be praying for you all.

Police really don’t search for missing adults unless foul play is suspected. It’s not illegal to go missing as an adult. Don’t beat up on them too hard, they’re not telling you there isn’t much they can do because they’re lazy. There really isn’t much they can do. Even if they find him all they can do is just ask him to contact you and roll out.

According to his FB post on Friday Aug 20, he was moving into a new place on that Sunday the 22nd, the same day of his accident.

I know you said he went back to his friends to heal, but Have you dug into checking out this new place, and if he had potentially went there at all in between ?

Were the last 4 digits of his cell 6773?

Was his last known street address number 3456?

I will make time in the morning to answer those questions and I’m also writing down the suggestions, many of which I hadn’t thought of which is another reason I brought this here. It’s been a lot to digest and I’m pretty much doing all of the ground work solo outside of one other family member and a couple of friends. I am grateful for and appreciate everything y’all.

This could be a good clue. If he didn’t have a car, he clearly committed some type of misdemeanor. Was it for possession of drug paraphernalia? Or something similar? He would’ve been arrested if he had hard drugs on him.

Hermosa Beach PD has a link to the weekly crime log.

Only one item listed for 9/1/21: Vandalism / Broken Glass in the 900 block of Hermosa Av.

That was the unfortunate/ironic timing of it all was that he was supposed to be moving in the day of the accident. Just a shitty month blow after blow..
