That is awesome, really happy to hear that it is going well.
It is still very early for him - a long road ahead and he may have some unfortunate and uncomfortable setbacks in the coming months - and should it occur, it won't change the fact that:
I know I don't need to say this, but be there for him to talk to when he has some tough days or when life sends him something that will trigger some anxiety / depression - those moments will be the toughest for him to keep on the right track.
Developing some appropriate coping techniques for those moments is vital. If you read a little bit about Post Acute Withdrawal Symptoms, you will have a good idea of what may be in store for him over the next 6 months - as year or so and can help be in his support group.
Good luck and and you are absolutely right about how rewarding seeing someone come through to the other side can be.

wow. That's a heck of a story and it's awesome that somebody (I have only read the first 2 posts) found your brother.
May God bless the fellow that found him, your brother, and your family.

Fantastic news.
Have y'all considered getting him out of BR so he doesn't end up running in the same social circles that may have him around things he doesn't need to be around?

Man, I was just watching a video on that YT channel like 2 days ago and thought about this guy and watched his video again.
Hope he's doing well.

Colin's Facebook page has some current public posts. He was tending bar on Panama City Beach 17 hrs ago. He's got some recent posts of fishing and such. Seems to be doing well.
Sampson also posted a fishing pic with Colin just last week.

That's great news. Everyone likes a good redemption story.
Here's to that family and a bright future.

He looks so much healthier than in the youtube video.

Sampson can provide more info when he sees this but since he’s been home, it was rocky at first but he seems to have found his stride. After rehab and a halfway house briefly when he got home; he has moved in with some of his family in Florida. He’s taken to working out and gotten MUCH more healthy. He’s been doing a lot of fishing and during the season out there is bartending and making good money. He as also since written a book that’s he now in the editing process and will shop to publish as a well that I know he’s proud of.

wow, i hope he does good in that environment

Yeah that doesn't seem to be the ideal environment for a recovering addict.
But if he's doing well, that's great.

Just made this account to ask for an update on Colin. His video is my favorite and I've watched it a couple of times now. How is his life in Florida?
