I read this thread last night and I had serious trouble sleeping. Had to take a melatonin as my brain was wandering about all the possibilities. It’s worse because I knew Colin mostly as acquaintances. Went to school with him and would occasionally cross paths while out in BR. Super nice dude and now I’m def invested in this. Hoping Sampson can provide a positive update soon. The more I read, the better I feel the outcome will be.
Prayers for their entire family.

This absolutely didn't happen. Doesn't mean he's not in rehab... just he wasn't sentenced to it within hours of arrest.
Exactly. At least, not without serious family connections and involvement.

I feel your concern Sampson. I will say a prayer for your brother and family. Hope you find him soon!

I wish we could get an update from OP
ETA to the OP I suggest using Truthfinder.com
You’ll have to create an account and it’s 28 dollars a month. I’ve used it before then canceled after a month. It will compile all known addresses, aliases, roommates, friends, spouses, family, jobs, addresses, social media, criminal and court records, phone numbers, etc that Colin has ever had that they can find and put it in a report for you. It helps a lot in these instances trying to find people

Dang, what happened that you had to use it?

It sounds like the issue here is that he was bouncing between locations and couch surfing, his addresses wouldn’t be listed

I served summons for child support claims for extra cash for a private firm in college. It was helpful to find alternative addresses and location of relatives

Interesting. Glad it wasn't something personal that happened to you.

The site I suggested will give a report of any roommates or friends by combing through all available social media or public records. Anything that ever had his name on it will show up. Might give OP possible names to contact in order to pick up a trail of where to look for him. It also gives any criminal or traffic reports or arrests, and if there was a sentencing related to it. It can be very useful to find people who may be hiding or fell off the map if you know how to use it. Contact all the friends, neighbors, co workers it may list in the report. Someone usually knows something

For best results you might want to post a picture that looks like he does now.
I agree, I just didn’t want that to be a focal point of it. I’ll repost now.

And just so y’all know the gofundme is for retaining/keeping the private investigator compensated and for the printing/hiring of some kids there to post them. I’m not expecting or asking for any $$$. This thread has been beyond helpful like I knew it would be.

Also to IT_Dawg, I appreciate the research. That cell number was his old Baton Rouge number and that address was where he was formerly residing/getting mail. But he no longer lives there.

I saw on his Facebook he has a tattoo sleeve.
If you put out more flyers I'd add that he has a tattoo sleeve with a description of them. If someone thought they saw him but wasn't sure that would help with a positive ID.

I hope you find your brother well. Is there any possibility he could be an undercover agent for the CIA? It seems way to weird for someone like him to go randomly missing.

Lexis Nexis does a lot of this too. It is used by a lot of financial institutions, law enforcement agencies, etc... to help conduct investigations.

Any news on this?
Sampson was posting at length during the LSU Auburn game. Maybe things are better?

I haven't read the thread beyond page 13, but I thought I'd check my database after IT_dawgs post. I'm coming up with multiple numbers with recent connections from a very reliable database, I don't want to say what I do for a living but some here know...
(225) 937-7625 - most recent on file
(424) 382-5807 - same dates as last number listed, maybe a secondary number
(225) 916-6773 - almost 2 years old
(615) 594-5740 - very old
(225) 341-0069 - also seems old
(760) 885-0280 - possible burner but may be active, no dates given
The address in CA that Dawg listed is all we have too, not counting when he lived back in Baton Rouge or elsewhere.
I'm curious to know more details about the accident he had. Was he impaired and/or was there a second vehicle involved?

The citation was a misdemeanor. If it were for drugs it would say felony. The only drug that’s not a felony is weed and it’s legal .
