I was just trying to be a good dad. I make 3 times as much as she does so I figured I would pay for our son. Looking back I never should have helped her with shite, should have just went to court right after we broke up

You may come away from this obligated to pay less than you already do. You didn’t mention retro child support, but if she wants to go for retroactive child support, I believe she would have to prove you willingly haven’t been supporting the child (as in you knew you had a kid and still weren’t supporting it). Seems unlikely to fly if what you’ve said is true.

Either get full custody or pay child support.
