My baby momma wants to put me on child support

She called me today to inform me of this, saying that she needs to ensure our 4 year old son has everything he needs. My current girlfriend is giving birth to my daughter in May so she feels threatened that my son will be forgotten.
Honestly I really don’t deserve it, any time she’s ever asked for money I’ve sent it to her. Daycare, pullups, clothes, haircuts, food, anything he needs. I’ve also kept records of these transactions and receipts of stuff I’ve bought him. Basically she’s just being a bitch.
We have no set custody agreement. I work on tows 28/14. I keep him the entire 2 weeks I’m off and she has him the rest of the time.
TLDR; what are some actions that I can take to protect myself? I intend on getting a lawyer. What should I expect?

As much as I think that system is broken, it gives her documented and binding legal rights. You can't just say no after it's done.

It’s not about what you deserve. It’s about what’s best for your child. A new attitude about it would probably go a long way.

Expect she already has a lawyer and has been keeping the proper records for a while now. Including how much you see him and how much you have given.
Expect $1k/month if you aren't at 50/50, plus whatever split in income for all the other childs needs. Since you are 28/14 I would say you can probably go over that.

The judge is going to apply a set formula based on your gross income and that is what you will have to pay every month. No need to spend a to spend a bunch in a lawyer.
Btw. It would be a good idea to stop having baby’s with every girl you date. shite is going to get very expensive

Get a lawyer. File a set custody agreement. Stop giving her extra money. It's considered a gift and not child support at this point. If she wants to play ball, play.
