That shite needs to be studied more, has to be an eventual prevention at some point in the future.

Sorry to hear this. Stay strong!
May I ask, do you know if there is a genetic component to her cancer, because that is on the younger side of Colon CA? If she never took a test, I would advise to have her kids all get a genetic test.
I had a sibling think they had appendicitis and it turned out to be Colon CA, where the tumor perforated the intestine into the abdominal cavity. They survived with chemo and surgery, however, being younger and at the doctor's suggestion, I was tested and have a genetic mutation. I produce polyps. I have to have an annual colonoscopy and average 20 or so polyps to be removed. At some point, I will probably need a total large colon resection, but I will manage for now. If not for that test, I would easily be in the same boat as your aunt.
I say all this to at least advise on genetic testing as it is relatively inexpensive vs. a cancer diagnosis and treatment.
Again, I am sorry for your situation and God Speed to you, your aunt, and her family.

My cousin lost his only child more than a year ago to brain cancer. She was 18. He mourns every single day on Facebook.
When I complain about how bad I think I have it , I stop to think about him.

Lost my Mom at 43 to colon cancer. Sitting in the hospital bed right now at 30 waiting for my first colonoscopy. Nothing wrong…..Doc just wants us to be proactive beings that she was so young. Frick cancer man.

I’m so very sorry. F cancer, especially when it takes a parent with children still in school. The mom of a good friend of my daughter died from it when they were in elementary school. 2 young daughters. It didn’t seem fair at all, and I sure questioned God on that one.

I’m so sorry to hear this. Cancer is cruel.
I pray for your aunt, her kids and husband and everyone affected by this. 40s is far too young.
I hope and pray that science will crack the code one day soon so that these stories are no more.

I’m so sorry you are going through this. It is a really terrible and helpless feeling watching a loved one pass, especially someone with children.
My dad has colon cancer that has spread to the liver as well. He went to MD Anderson and starts his chemo tomorrow. Praying for a miracle, but I know the odds are against him. His birthday and Father’s Day are coming up and I was thinking/crying this morning trying to figure out what I could get him that would be meaningful.
