My son had the same thing. The baby teeth eventually fell out and the adult teeth are moving into position. The Dentist told us to wait a month and to have him wiggle the teeth so it would help them fall out. Worked like a charm.

I'd wait it out. Save you a couple hundred this week and start saving for the braces you cause him to have later in life.

Just had the same issue with 6 year old.
Make him start wiggling it.
I took her to the dentist and was told the big tooth will slide forward when small one comes out. Very common.

Well that comment beats my looters comment.
Bravo, sir.

Yes, I am aware.
I am a paleontologist.

See the dentist but its of no real concern and quite common.
My son had this issue with both bottom front teeth. Once the baby tooth falls out the new tooth moves into the right spot.
We told my son he was turning into a shark in the interim.

You could tear up some corn on the cob with that set up

Sounds like you passed on shitty inbred genes to your child. Congrats.
Poor kid
Take him to the dentist for Christ sake. And start saving for some braces in the future so he doesn't turn out looking like your muddle mouth self.

Just make sure you open carry when you loosen his tooth.

Take him to dentist, but it's pretty common.

Check his scalp for the "666" marking. Your son is Satan!

This is very common and don't get too worked up about it. You can have the dentist look at it at his next regular check up (he does see the dentist regularly, right?).
It's likely not a mesiodens, like someone said previously. Five years old is when you usually start seeing baby teeth fall out and adult teeth moving into the arch.
Don't sweat it.

It's called a mesiodens. Leave it and have dentist check it on regular basis.
Please stop posting. You don't know what the hell you are talking about. You aren't a dentist.
