Got my kid a dirtbike for Christmas and decided to join him on the MX track. He can ride for like 5 hours straight. I was lucky to finish 30 minutes.

I've been pretty fast at everything I do automtive, online or IRL. Won two regional autocross championships, placed 2nd in a rock crawling comp, was the fastest Louisiana online racer on GT for years.

But those two wheels scared the hell out of me. Lol. I was super happy if I got 3 feet of air time (as in distance, not height). The jump face is like a vertical ascention to the heavens. I'm like ya, pin it, go for it! Then, quickly come to reality...naw...dont want to fly just yet. I'll just hop it. Then the front tire goes vertical and Im doing all I can not to wisky throttle the thing. After you survive alititude chaos, you go to turn and the ruts are just as terrifying!

You guys that fly through the air like superman and zip around turns, tip of the hat. Mad skills.

I was on a YZ250F, did good to avoid dying. I think. Side note. After 3 laps I felt like I ran 3 miles. WTF.

If any of yall are into scaring the hell out of yourself while exercising, get a dirtbike.

Yeah, I've been on a CR250R and didn't like it either. Grew up w a 3 and 4 wheeler but my friends in the neighborhood had a YZ80, CR80R and a KX80. The power bands were incredible. Liked a CR125R when I got older but that's all I desired to rip on.

What you're describing is the tea cup ride at Disney World compared to these bad boys! Caused more missed days of school than the flu when I was in elementary school.

I grew up around motorcycles. My dad was a Harley man and hung around with a bunch of bikers. Had dirt bikes from the time I could walk practically. When I was in high school we were at a local rural spot where everyone used to go trail ride. A dude showed up on a 1986 Husqvarna CR500. He let me ride it and it was a NOPE real quick. First time in my life I was scared of the bike I was riding.

My BIL had that exact 250R lol. I had a TRX125 4 wheel pig. That 250 was a beast in the 80s

He's 10, listened to the interwebs and started him on a Honda CRF110F. Thing runs like a sewing machine.

He'll probably outgrow it pretty quick, though.

Oh, nice little bike. I bet he has a blast. Maintain it and when he does upgrade, you can resell for pretty good value.

Ya, thats nuts, I dont know how yall do it. I grew up on the same street as Kevin. Used to jump on his trampoline when I was a kid. Revin Kevin 511 was on his trailer. Nicest kid. Great family. He turned out to be one helluva racer.
