At one point, we even had a white gang called Everlast Posse. Remember those guys?

YES. we got beat up by them at Siegen Lane McDonald's in 1991. Was funny in retrospect b/c we were all 15 yrs old and they were 18-20. We admittedly started it and They beat our asses all the way to the construction area of the (current)RaceTrack site. Cops came and two of them went to jail(cops frown on 19 yr olds beating up 15 yr olds) while we went home with bloody noses and invaluable brawling experience.

I'd love to see some pictures and see what those losers are up to today. Gangs are so dumb. This whole shooting is so dumb

No doubt the local media has a large roll to play. The Rolph McCollister types are exactly who I’m talking about.

I’ll bet not one person involved in this as shooter or target comes from a 2 parent home.

I see a lot of people posting that these videos are “hard to watch”, but are you saying that for the targeted victims or possibility of collateral damage?

Granted, I do feel sympathy for the impoverished group as a whole, but these guys are glamorizing a life of violence (see TrueBleeda videos) and it’s catching up with them. Maybe they’re exaggerating things or playing characters, but Marilyn Manson even caught up with Brian Warner eventually. It really sucks these kids come up with nothing to live for and the desensitize whatever judgement is left out of them with chemicals, but this seems to be what they want.

The risk of collateral damage (see the mom that got caught in crossfire in NBR and was shot in the head while walking with her toddler) is what kills me. On the surface you see that kid hanging out of the car dying, but this is a video of this city dying.

Also, get off the goddamn landscaping.

I think we’ve all become desensitized to reading about these types of murders. But seeing these videos are different. These videos are painful to watch. They are another hard reminder that BR is spiraling out of control…and no one is doing anything about it.

This sums it up well. It’s easier to remain detached when I read about it, or it happens in a “bad” part of town. Seeing the video with bodies and bullet-riddled car on a road many of us travel frequently makes it real. It’s scary and infuriating. I don’t want to have a rational fear of taking my toddler to Target or the mall, or running an errand on my lunch break.

Can you imagine, you turn right off of Flannery onto Old Hammond a little bit too close to a car coming straight, but not close enough for a wreck. Car coming just had to slow down a bit, you get to the next light and stop and Dude behind you hops out ready to pop a cap in you jist for that? That's where we're heading.

I saw almost that exact scenario happen in the middle of the day, at the light on Corporate by Mansur's. There was almost a wreck between two vehicles coming from different directions, both trying to turn left. Both cars ended up stopped.

Thug jumps out of one car with a pistol and points it at the poor lady in the other car. He is yelling at her, waving the pistol around. Finally she just takes off to get away from him. Luckily, he didn't start shooting. It happened so quickly, I didn't think to get the license plate. I'm sure it wouldn't have mattered if I had. Nothing would have been done.

Coincidentally a year before, a car in the Mint parking lot (Mint was there at that time) had a bullet hole put in it's door from a drive by. That one made the news, the incident I saw did not.

If it makes you feel any better, this wouldn’t have mattered anyway. There is an 70% chance that vehicle had a fake temporary tag or a switched license plate on the back.

When their culture continues to blame other boogie men and take ZERO. Responsibility it must not be hard for them to watch.

95%. Temp tags should be probable cause.
