Seeing his picture in the paper is gonna haunt me for months.

East Tennessee, bastion of MAGA, and they find a bleary eyed, corn rowed, dreadlock rasta felon to drive their kids to school. Smh.

You don't know Chattanooga apparently. It doesn't look like the rest of East Tennessee in the city area. It's very liberal in the white population as well. It's almost little Memphis.

Cities, like Chattanooga and Knoxville in Eastern Tennessee, often have very different demographics than the rest of the region. This is actually quite common.

They did a press release on the local news this morning. 5 Dead, 4 girls, 1 boy, one in kindergarten, one in first, three in 4th.

I'm curious to see what the investigation finds. How fast was the driver going. I'd hate to see the drivers life ruined over an accident, but if he is found at fault, by all means throw the book at him.

He is going to have a tough time living with this.

Yeah I was thinking that it was an older driver who had a stroke or heart attack and just list control. I know they arrested the guy buy didn't say what he claimed happen which I found odd.

My daughter stays with the wife of a CPD officer for daycare, my wife is gonna ask about some details when she goes to drop her off. Will try to post more later if I get anything interesting.

It's an expected reaction to the accident, but it always bothers me when they arrest the person before they know what happened.

If it was a 55 year old white woman, would she have been arrested too? Is a 9 year old saying "we were going really fast" enough evidence?

Sad situation all around.

Do school busses have seat belts nowadays? I know the only seatbelt on a bus when i was a kid was for the driver. If not, why don't they have seatbelts on a school bus?

How fast do you have to go to do this?

I think the explanation is that if you need to get the kids off quickly (like in a fire), then kids trapped in seatbelts may do more harm than good.

Whats the seatbelt situation? I remember the South Carolina school busses not having seatbelts.

Can you cap school busses at a certain speed limit?
