Maybe “Impractical Jokers” will be close behind on the chopping block.

I think the theme song alone was costing a million a year in royalties since the show played so much.

Mark Mothersbaugh, the co-founder of Devo, earns approximately $1 million per year in royalties from the Ridiculousness theme song, a reworked version of Devo's 1978 track "Uncontrollable Urge"

My son and I were at some restaurant/bar in North Georgia and they had Atmosphere “Nostalgia TV” on.
It was hilarious trying to explain to my 10 year what we were watching, think I could’ve watched it all day:

curious to see what MTV does now
They could you know go back to showing music videos and pop culture that made them popular in the first place

To be fair, it was like 75% of MTV's weekly broadcast schedule.
I was randomly looking at the guide on YouTubeTV probably a year ago. I came across MTV and Ridiculousness was the only show for like 72 hours.
Why dies that channel even exist?

for real. It must've started when I was beginning to age out of MTV. Sign of getting old I guess.

It’s pretty well documented how he churns episodes like a science. They basically film like three or four episodes a day, and have the whole season filmed and produced in less than a month.

I have never heard of this show.
That shows how siloed we've become.

Hot. But almost the worst laugh in the world. Kind of reminds me of this
I laughed way harder than I should have at this

I'm curious to see what MTV does now, since that show is basically all their ever have playing on the channel. Cable is dead anyhow.
At this point they have so many episodes in the can, they can run the episodes in a loop for years depending on who own the distribution rights to the show. If it was owned, produced, and distributed by MTV they can run it into the ground with minimal cost with small royalties going to the stars.

All hail the return of Wild n Out

The only thing I’ve seen of MTV in the last decade is commercial for trashy black women reality/cheating shows. I have no idea how that channel still exists.
